First released last October, kickstarted indie Masquerada: Songs and Shadows is officially heading to consoles. Creator Witching Hour Studios revealed a release trailer for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, which features the New Game+ mode that delivers extra boss fights and more dialogue scenes. There’s even a giant, fiery chicken boss to shake up the game’s serious nature.
Masquerada: Songs and Shadows takes place in a thriving Venice, and follows the tale of Cicero Gavar, a dishonoured sleuth who’s been called back to the city of Ombre to solve a mysterious disappearance. Beyond the beautiful city streets, there’s a deeper conspiracy that players need to solve using the power of magical masks. As Cicero, you’ll be tackling enemies with powerful elemental combos and unravelling layers of tragedy that claims Ombre by its throat.
Masquerada: Songs and Shadows will launch for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on August 8. Interested players can dive into the PC version on Steam today for $24.99 USD.
