The Video Game Awards is but a few days away and we're not treated to another teaser! This time, it's Irrational Games' BioShock Infinite that takes centerstage and it manages to show us a lot of stuff in this short seven-second teaser.
From the get-go, we hear who sounds like Elizabeth shouting to BioShock Infinite protagonist Booker DeWitt that "look, there's a Handyman!" These Handymen are what seem to be the equivalent of Big Daddies in the original BioShock — though they are more agile and a lot more menacing. What's interesting here is that the Handyman is attacking an airship that seems to be firing rockets at Booker. So, in effect, the Handyman helped Booker out somewhat but that doesn't stop our hero from taking out his sniper rifle to get a headshot in to take this big bastard out.
Can you believe this happens in just seven-seconds? Go watch the footage now.
To see the full trailer, don't forget to watch the VGAs at Spike TV or on GameTrailers where they will be live-streaming the whole event. While it is an awards show, the real reason people watch it are for the game trailers and surprise reveals and this year is no different. Confirmed to be shown are Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2's first-ever gameplay trailer, a new look at The Last of Us, a new gameplay trailer for Tomb Raider and a few other surprises.
The Video Game Awards show will air live on 9 p.m. ET and we will, of course, cover the events as they happen for those who can't or doesn't want to watch it.
