Uncharted: Fight for Fortune is available to download now for the PlayStation Vita. The game was accidentally revealed when it appeared on the Australian Classification Board website back in early November, but is not – as some will have hoped – another epic adventure like the previous games in the series.
Instead, Uncharted: Fight for Fortune is described by PlayStation as an “action-adventure turn based card game, though don't be fooled by the inclusion of the word “action” into thinking you'll be playing with anything other than cards. It's a little more advanced than solitaire, however, and looks a lot like Magic the Gathering with characters from the various Uncharted games rather than monsters.
The campaign is said to be more than eight hours long, and as you progress through it you'll unlock new cards. You can also collect cards just for having your Fight for Fortune save on the same memory card as your save for Golden Abyss. Once you're done with the campaign, or if you're just not interested in single player, you can play asynchronous multiplayer against your friends either in the same room via Pass & Play or online.
Uncharted: Fight for Fortune is cheap at $4.99, but expansion packs are also being sold for $2.99, which is obviously an age-old strategy to pull in extra cash. But hey, if this sounds like just your kind of game, and you're happy to spend money to build up your deck, go for it.
