EVE Online: Retribution Debuts, Patch Notes And Trailer Released

December 4, 2012 by Holly Green

This free update adds an impressive batch of new content.

One of the dirtiest games in the biz just got a little dirtier. The staggering eighteenth expansion for EVE Online was released today, bringing with a flashy trailer and a list of patch notes that could rival the Bible itself for word count. Entitled Retribution, this new content brings the bounty hunting experience to the game, allowing players to put a price on the head of desired targets (including corporations and alliances) or collect the bounties placed by others.

Also added are the reworked Crimewatch system, new skills, four new destroyers and balancing across multiple ship classes, user interface overhauls, upgraded NPC AI, extensive bug fixes, updated audio effects, and much more. You can get exensive details on the changes over at the EVE Online community blog, or just check out the real thing by downloading the free expansion to your account.
