343 Industries have officially announced that the fifth instalment of the Halo series, Halo 5: Guardians, will be receiving a long awaited 4K patch, allowing players on the Xbox One X to experience the cinematic journey once again, but in crystal clear quality.
While there is no official release date of the update, the update should drop later this year. Let’s just hope that the 4K patch won’t compromise the 60fps framerate.
Halo 5: Guardians is available exclusively on the Xbox One.
In other Halo news, 343 Industries have announced backwards compatibility for Halo: The Master Chief Collection.
Microsoft has announced some great news for Halo fans: Halo: CE Anniversary, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST and Halo 4, all with their subsequent DLCs, will be available on Xbox One via its backwards compatibility program.

Whether it’s a digital copy of the game or the original disc, you can start playing immediately. Furthermore, if you don’t own the DLC for any of the Halo titles, Microsoft is providingit all for free.
