Gearbox Software has put together a new trailer for their upcoming game, Aliens: Colonial Marines. The game is being designed as a part of the Aliens/Prometheus canon and is set to take place on LV-426, the same location in which the first two films are set.
Set in canon, the game will take place after the events of the third film, Alien 3, and see players taking on the role of a colonial marine dispatched to the planet. Unlike previous Aliens games, which also featured the Predators, Aliens: Colonial Marines will feature xenomorphs as the main enemies, and monsters like the Facehugger and Chestburster will be making appearances in the game.
The new trailer consists mainly of art, and depicts how concept artwork for the game slowly transformed into in-game environments.
Aliens: Colonial Marines is set for an early 2013 release on the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. It will also be released for Nintendo's new console, the Wii U.
