The Kickstarter campaign for Sir, You Are Being Hunted has closed with a total of £92,551 pledged towards the Big Robot's £40,000 goal by 4,906 backers, and an additional £1,100 raised via PayPal. In an update posted on Kickstarter yesterday, the team has said the campaign has been “an amazing experience”, before saying the PayPal page will remain up in case of any last-minute pledges.
The team has also talked about the stretch goals it made after its initial goal was met. Multiplayer will be added to this procedurally-generated survival PC game, but will become available some time after its release, which is due in July next year but may be pushed back due to the additional content promised for each of the stretch goals that was met. The campaign didn't raise enough to meet the £100,000 stretch goal for character creation and customisation, but the team has said some aspects will still make it to the final game.
Big Robot also hopes the game will make it onto Steam, in which case all backers will receive Steam keys. Any backers who've made pledges large enough to secure physical rewards will receive those after the holidays.
Did you make a pledge? Or are you waiting for the game to launch before you decide whether it's worth your money?
