The latest free update to Angry Birds Star Wars is available now for iOS, with other platforms – Android, Mac, and PC – coming soon, and potentially more to follow. The update, which got its own little live action trailer, contains twenty levels that revolve around the battle on the ice world of Hoth. For those who know that story already, just substitute rebels for birds and you'll have the gist, but for those who don't, here's the description from Rovio's blog:
It is a dark time for the Rebellion. Evading the dreaded Imperial Starfleet, a group of freedom fighters has established a new secret base on the remote ice world of Hoth. Unfortunately the evil Lord Vader discovers their hideout, and the desperate Rebel birds must escape the AT-ATs and Pigtroopers hot on their trail. But the Rebels have an ace up their sleeve with the debut of PRINCESS LEIA and her attractive new power!
That “attractive” power (oh, I get it Rovio, the Leia of the films is a physically attractive woman so her power in the game must be something to do with attraction) looks from the trailer like a sort of magnetism. It should be pretty fun to bring down a few AT-ATs, though it'd be nice to be able to do it with just a piece of rope.
