Sales of Sony's mascot fighter PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale in the UK has allegedly not been up to snuff; at least according to the UK charts revealed by Gamasutra where the game only managed to place on the 38th spot out of 40 games.
Of course, there are a few major things to consider, one is that PS All-Stars launched in the UK on November 23, and the weekly sales charts stopped counting sales on November 24, So that gives the game a day to make a dent. Aside from that, PS All-Stars was also released digitially on the PSN Store. So there's a good possibility that fans bought the game there — especially if they have a PS Vita since the game does offer cross-buy support.
Regardless of the reasons listed above, what does Sony think of its big holiday game? According to a Sony rep (via IGN), "Sales are right on target with expectations and we are happy with them."
Of course, we don't actually know what Sony's expectations are for the title at this point. But the rep did say that they're "happy," so that's a good thing, right?
How do you think PS All-Stars is faring right now? Are any of your friends playing it? If this proves to be a hit, what's next? Sony PlayStation All-Stars Kart Racer?
