Destiny 2 is definitely one of the most anticipated games coming out this year, which is why (amongst other factors) gamers have been weighing up the pros and cons of either sticking with the PS4 Pro or migrating to Microsoft’s recently announced Xbox One for the best experience.
While we already know that that the PS4 will have 4K resolution, community manager Deej, has said that no promise has yet been made for the 4K resolution on Xbox One X.
“We confirmed 4K for PlayStation 4 Pro, have not made any promises about Scorpio (Xbox One X) as of yet. It’s very recent development they just announced two days ago, so we are working behind the scene to see what it’s future holds for us and these are announcements that will make at some point in time,” says the community manager of Bungie, without excluding the support of 4K on Xbox One X of Destiny 2 which might arrive in the future.
It seems like the argument for Xbox One X’s performing better than the PS4 Pro because of hardware differences is becoming more and more redundant; earlier this week Gameranx also reported that Destiny 2, like the PS4 Pro, will run at 30FPs.
The information was revealed in an interview by Geoff Keighley with the director at Bungie, Luke Smith, whom revealed that Destiny 2 will in fact run at 30 FPS on the Xbox One X. This is hugely disappointing news for fans planning on buying the Xbox One X for a smoother playthrough of Destiny 2 than the PS4 Pro.
