With the original Wii "winning" this generation's console war, Nintendo's redesigning it to entice the other two people in the world who doesn't have it yet to give it a go. It's either that or they're making it look more attractive so that people who still can't get a Wii U will have an alternative.
Dubbed the "Wii Mini," the redesigned Wii was leaked ahead of Nintendo's official announcement by Best Buy. In the ad which you can see above, it's colored black with red trimmings and even with a red Wii remote. While the ad states that they are taking pre-orders now, the actual link doesn't go anywhere.
Unfortunately, there's no price given either; but the retailer does have the original Wii New Super Mario Bros. Bundle going for $149.99, so chances are it will be priced lower.
Best Buy has dated the Wii Mini for a December 7th release, so chances are, Nintendo's set to make an announcement in about a week's time.
So, anyone getting a Wii Mini instead of a Wii U? Come to think of it, is there even someone who likes videogames that still doesn't have a Wii yet?
