Still thinking how unreal Infinity Blade looks on the iPhone, well, soon you'll be able to achieve similar heights in terms of graphics with your apps on the iPhone. Epic has announced that they will be adding iOS support for its widely popular Unreal Development Kit, available for free for non-commercial use.
If developers want to use the tech for commercial use, they have to pay a $99 licensing fee and 25% royalties after the first $5,000 in sales. The announcement was made by Vice President and Co-Founder of Epic Games, Mark Rein, via Twitter.
According to WallStreetJournal, Epic co-founder Mark Rein said,
Apple’s App Store is the most vibrant market for mobile gaming. If you’re going to make a game for a mobile device, and you want to make the most money, you’re nuts not to make it for iOS.
