GTA 5 Trailer #2 Familiarizes Us With The Three Main Characters

November 14, 2012 by Ian Miles Cheong

The three main characters in GTA 5 get some screen time.

Rockstar Games has made good on their promise to release a brand new trailer for Grand Theft Auto V, a game that’s been baking in the oven for some time now. The internet went nuts the last time they released a trailer for the game, which was about a year ago when they first made the announcement that the game was in development.

It’s been a year since then (duh) and they’ve got even more to show now that we know quite a bit about the game, like the fact that it features not one, but three main characters whom you’ll have the ability to take control over throughout the game’s main campaign.

GTA V

The new trailer begins with a Hollywood (or Vinewood, rather) setting of a rich man’s house. It’s one of the main characters, and he’s chilling by the pool. The scene then switches over to the psychopath protagonist, who beats up some dudes in a bar and burns the whole place down with a molotov cocktail. It then shifts over to the game’s third protagonist, a young black man who’s in trouble with the law.

Overall, the trailer gives us a look at each of the main characters and a whole bunch of things that you’ll be doing in the game, like blowing up trains, riding helicopters, engaging in pursuits with other vehicles, robbing a jewelry store, dirtbike racing, and more.

Grand Theft Auto V is set for release in Spring 2013 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
