A little while back a rumor surfaced about Ubisoft developing a Rabbids and Mario RPG title and it seems that more info about the game surfaced as more leaks appeared online.
Earlier today a good amount of evidence proved the game’s existence. For starters, six new images for the game leaked. They were not in-game screenshots, but they did show off the basic idea of the game.

NintendoWorldReport has some insider details on the game as they state they have part of the pitch that sold Mario x Rabbids: Kingdom Battle. As you can see from the screenshots above, the game will be a turn-based RPG that will feature 35% exploration and 65% combat.
Players will be able to play the game as some of their favorite Mario characters – Mario, Luigi, Peach, and Yoshi – as well as their Rabbids counterparts. The game will also feature gun-based weapons, a first ever in any Mario title, and will allow co-op gameplay.
Lastly, the pitch states that the game is being published by Ubisoft. As you can see from one of the images above, the game will also run on the Snowdrop Engine, an engine that powers both Tom Clancy: The Division and South Park: The Fractured But Whole.
It is interesting to see such a title come to be, as it would have been an out of nowhere title announcement at E3 2017, however, it seems that the beans are already spilled and the title is leaked. We will most likely hear more about the title at the convention, but until then we must wait.
Mario x Rabbids: Kingdom Battle is set to release for the Nintendo Switch sometime in August or September.
