Late last week we learned the plans DICE has taken to ensure that Star Wars Battlefront 2 had plenty of story driven content.
Today, a new trailer and some new information have been released thanks to the PlayStation Blog. The new trailer featurette showcases some of the main developers discussing why they decided to tell a story concerning the 30-year gap between Return of the Jedi to The Force Awakens.

Steve Blank, creative executive in LucasFilm’s story group, also notes that not only will the story have players playing as imperial troopers and pilots, but we will also get a chance at being some key characters in the Star Wars universe. Sadly, no other information was given, but perhaps we could see Kylo Ren, Yoda, or even Darth Maul integrated into the story.
Star Wars Battlefront 2 is set to release for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on November 17, 2017.
