Multiple articles online have been propagating the idea that Scalebound is back in the works, however, the rumours have been confirmed as #Fakenews, Scalebound remains dead.
Justia is a website that tracks data on trademarks such as their creation date, cancellation and last movements. If you look on the website you will see that Scalebound has been open since 2014-11-18 and has had movements up until it’s cancellation date last year October. However, this May, the Scalebound brand has been active again.
Windows central, a news site centred which as a reputation for accurate reporting has confirmed that via their “own sources” that Scalebound is in fact not in development. While yes, the IP was technically renewed, it was likely reopened for routine legalities and not development.

That being said fans do still have much to look forward to at Microsoft’s E3 what with the reveal of the Scorpio, and a host of other exclusive titles such as Sea of Thieves and the long-awaited Crackdown 3.
“If you remember how great the original Crackdowns were, with the big, open cities, and as you leveled up, your cars and weapons leveled up, imagine all of that times ten. Crackdown 3 is all about the boom. it is a massive futuristic city. You have smarter enemies, more vehicles, and more weapons.”
