For a quarter of a million dollars, Swiss watchmaker RJ-Romain Jerome is giving the fashion conscious a chance to claim the title of ultimate Pokémon fan. Its latest designer watch, the Tourbillon Pokémon watch, is as luxurious as you can get. Boasting a high-quality enamel filled dial hand, black alligator strap with symbolic blue and yellow stitching, and Pikachu as the centrepiece attraction, this limited-edition beauty will set you back a cool $258,000 USD.
Apparently, the watch is waterproof (to the extent of 50m) and has a power reserve of 60 hours. RJ-Romain Jerome claims the highlight of the watch is the colourful dial, which pops out from the 48mm case. The composition of the watch is designed to signal an appreciation for a diverse range of Pokémon, including Bulbasaur, Squirtle, Magikarp and Eevee. If $258,000 USD sounds too pricey, there’s always the simpler RJ X Pokémon option, which comes in at a more reasonable $20,000 USD. Wait…
