The Wii U launches this weekend, but the console's perhaps biggest supporter, Ubisoft, is not happy about the price of the console – at least not if you ask their CEO, Yves Guillemot.
In an interview with GI.biz, he explained that he'd prefer a lower price.
"I always prefer lower pricing, so I can't say I'm happy," he said.
"I'm never happy when the machines are expensiev. What we have to do there is remember that compared to an iPad, it's cheap. With what it brings [to the gaming table] it's cheap. But I hope they'll be able to drop their price in time."
The Wii U Basic version will cost $299 at launch in the US while the Deluxe version costs $349.
In Europe, it's a bit different as retailers are allowed to set their own prices. Eurogamer notes the prices range from £249 to £299 in the UK.
To add some perspective: In Denmark the Deluxe version is set at 3499 Danish kroner. That's about $600 or £375.
