PlayStation Releases New Farpoint Trailer Showcasing the Developers Insight

May 15, 2017 by Jordan Biazzo

Are you picking up Farpoint tomorrow?

PlayStation has released a new trailer for their upcoming PSVR title, Farpoint. This trailer goes into detail on how the developers built a first person VR game. And this is no tech demo like previous titles on PSVR, this will be one of the fully fledged games with a campaign and all that good stuff.

Check out the new trailer down below:

Redefine your expectations of immersion as you embark on a mission to pick up scientists studying an anomaly near Jupiter when, all of a sudden, a rupture nearby sends you and their station crashing onto an unknown alien world. Separated from your colleagues, you must use holographic logs scattered throughout the landscape to reunite with the scientists and escape the planet.

Farpoint will also be launching alongside the highly anticipated PSVR peripheral – the Aim Controller. The PlayStation VR Aim Controller, for those who haven’t heard of the device so far, is expected to offer “the most realistic and precise way to control” Farpoint.

It’s got 1:1 tracking, so to aim, players will point just as you would in real-life. Learn more about the new accessory right here.

Farpoint is set to release for PSVR on May 16 for $49.99, or $79.99 if you decide to go with the Aim Controller bundle.
