Formerly restricted to PlayStation VR, intense combat strategy game Battlezone is making the leap to PC, it has emerged. Optimised for Oculus Rift and HTC Vive, Rebellion is cranking up the resolutions and making sure Battlezone comes with all added content from the PSVR version. Battlezone offers intense combat-based gameplay that sees 1-4 players battling it out in a quest for victory.
There’s a dazzling range of weapons and power-ups, special equipment like laser boots and shield boosts, and perhaps best of all, a procedurally generated campaign guarantees that no two playthroughs will be the same. Battlezone isn’t a new game, it originally came out in 1998 and was reborn as Battlezone 98 Redux on Steam last year. Now it’s been completely overhauled for VR, promising an even more immersive experience as you take on masses of cyber enemies across neon sci-fi cityscapes.
Battlezone is out now via Steam (currently 15% off) and the Oculus Store.
