Campers have been a staple of first person shooter since the dawn of time—or at least since the dawn of multiplayer gaming. The fact that ‘campers’ allowed prehistoric humans to hunt down otherwise dangerous prey without leaving themselves vulnerable to being gored to death by wooly mammoths and sabertooth tigers doesn’t enter into most players’ equations about competitive hunting—which is what multiplayer shooters happen to be.
One Youtube gamer has cast aside his aspersions of campers to prepare a video revealing all of the hiding spots and locations that require a bit of tricky jumping to get to in Halo 4’s multiplayer maps. These locations will provide you with a height and cover advantage over your opponents, while offering you greater coverage of the map that a player on foot and on the ground might otherwise not have.
Locate hiding spots on Abandon, Adrift, Complex, Exile, Haven, Longbow, Meltdown, Ragnarok, Solace and Vortex.
For most of these hidden spots, you’ll need a jetpack to get to where you want to be.
If you’re not keen on camping and exploiting your environment, the video will provide you with some idea of what to expect from players who do, so it’s well worth your time to familiarize yourself with the maps and never get taken by surprise.
Be sure to mute the music, unless you really like Shinedown.
