Hotline Miami Gets Patch, Controller Support Added

November 5, 2012 by Julie Horup

Kill, kill! KILL!

The day we've all been waiting for is here: Hotline Miami now supports the use of a controller.

The game has been updated on Steam with the addition of gamepad support, but also includes a few fixes and modifications.

Dennaton Games notes that some of the known issues in the game most occur when playing the Windows Version of the game on a Mac. That's why the developer is now focusing on a native Mac version that should "be out soon".

If you bought the game on GOG, the update will be available soon.

Update notes:

  • Gamepad support added
  • Remapping the keys now works with arrow keys as well
  • A bonus stage "Highballer" has been added, which will be unlocked when you complete the main story
  • Additional enviromental graphics
  • More gore with the Jones mask, now has additional graphical effects
  • Additional sound effects
  • The pot of boiling water has been updated
  • More randomly placed weapons
  • First and second boss battles slightly modified
