Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 officially launches tomorrow and we’ll soon have an impressions piece on the upcoming Sniper Ghost Warrior installment on the PC platform. With that said, there is a new report going around that the load times on the PlayStation 4 are rather long.
The report comes from a video on Eurogamer that showcases just some of the things you can do while Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 loads. Apparently, the PlayStation 4 version of the game takes a whopping five minutes to load, which is a long wait for a video game title.
In fact, the video game load time is so long that gamers could speedrun Gone Home or complete a full race of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, as demonstrated by Eurogamer within the video posted above. While it’s possible that a future update could potentially resolve the load time issues some gamers may face when the title launches tomorrow, April 25, 2017, the developers behind the title did give a statement.
CI Games is the developers behind Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 and they recently responded to the load time concern to GameSpot. Apparently, CI Games is fully aware the title takes nearly five minutes to load, but the outcome allows players to avoid longer fast-traveling, checkpoint load times, and mission restarts.
Perhaps some gamers may appreciate the shorter in-game load times, though we imagine there will be plenty who will find the full video game load times to be cumbersome. At any rate, gamers can pick up a copy of Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 on April 25, 2017, for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC platforms.
