The first in-game screenshots for the next Call of Duty game have been leaked online, giving fans a tiny sneak peek into the what THEY can expect from Call of Duty’s return to the roots. Unfortunately, the pics are really low resolution – take what you get I guess?
These first screenshots were unveiled via the game’s official website. Furthermore, the first details for Call of Duty WWII have also been leaked via a retailer’s promotional material.
According to its description, players will land in Normandy on D-Day and battle across through iconic location in history’s most monumental war:
“Call of Duty returns to its roots with Call of Duty: WWII–a breathtaking experience that redefines World War II for a new gaming generation. Land in Normandy on D-Day and battle across Europe through iconic locations in history’s most monumental war. In other news, Activision has announced that the next entry in the Call of Duty franchise will be getting a worldwide premiere next week on April 26.
The announcement comes from the official Call of Duty website, where a countdown ticker is set up and a World War 2 subhead is present. This means the rumors about Call of Duty returning to World War 2 were true; now we must wait until the 26 for more news on the title.
