Gun Media and IllFonic took to Twitter to announce that the Kickstarted Friday the 13th Game will be releasing next month on May 26 for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
The game is a third-person, asymmetrical multiplayer title where one player will control Jason while seven others play as camp counselors hoping to survive the night. Just like the films, players must act smart if they wish not to die; while Jason goes on a rampaging venture to hunt and kill each counselor.

Set in the “semi-open world” of Camp Crystal Lake from the movie series, “It’s a classic horror fan’s dream, no shaky cam, no found footage,” the developers say. “We want you to know we’re revitalizing the golden era of slashers, and putting you at the controls of each horrific, blood-splattered moment.”
The game was scheduled to release in early 2017, however, as developer Gun Media state on Twitter, there were some problems with the ratings of the game, but the slight delay did manage to help the game release in some regions that might have banned the game.
Ratings took a little longer than anticipated, our apologies. Luckily, we’ve been approved in some countries that might have banned the game
Friday the 13th Game is set to release for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on May 26; the single-player portion of the game is still on track to release in summer 2017.
