Could Splinter Cell: Blacklist be headed to Nintendo's Wii U? This image spotted by NeoGAF user Thraktor over in Ireland seems to indicate that.
The pic, which you can see below, was taken in a GameStop in Dublin where a pre-order box for the game was lined up with other boxes of games that were already confirmed to be appearing on Nintendo's upcoming next-gen platform.
Here's the image so you can judge for yourself:
To be honest, if this comes to be true, then this shouldn't come as much of a suprise, as Ubisoft has been one of the most productive supporters for the Wii U. We already know they're planning a whole slate of games for Nintendo's platform, which starts with a Wii U version of Assassin's Creed 3, and even an all-new IP in ZombiU.
The bigger question here should be is: can Ubisoft use the GamePad in an ingenious way for the game? I'm not talking about using it as a menu for weapons or whatnot, but something more ingenious. Say, maybe have the GamePad be another vantage point for a sticky cam?
Would you want this to be true? If so, do you see it selling as good as the current-gen versions?
Splinter Cell: Blacklist is scheduled for an unspecified date in 2013, for the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3.
