It's common knowledge by now that most game to movie adaptations are not that good. Funnily enough, most of the time, web series or those made by fans are even better than the ones backed by movie outfits. Is it because we have lower expectations or are they just better?
Whatever the case is, we have another one of these fan series and again, it looks fantasic This time, it's Konami's Castlevania that's getting the fan treatment and I suggest you give it a watch.
If you've seen the video, this is just the first episode and to make sense of it all, the description states, "Deep inside Dracula's Castle, Simon Belmont, the unholy heir to the Count is born in secret, and stolen away before Dracula can christen him with his dark powers."
Admittedly, the series is not your typical fan flick since it's funded by IGN. So, it has a few more dollars to throw around when it comes to props, effects and whatnot.
Do you think projects like these can be better than the official movies or are we just not as judgmental? I do admit though, I'm interested in episode two and how far they can go along with this.
