Japan’s Nintendo Direct has revealed some awesome news for Ace Attorney fans. The Great Ace Attorney 2 will release on Nintendo 3DS on August 3rd in Japan.
The game stars protagonist Ryunosuke Naruhodo who runs in to and teams up with one of the greatest detectives of all time, Sherlock Holmes. Together the solve a series of mysterious cases set in 19th century London.

Naruhodo is a college student at the Yuumei University in the Empire of Japan. He travels to the British Empire following an incident and there becomes an attorney. After he meets Sherlock Holmes, Ryunosuke’s journey expands further than he ever expected.
Other characters in the game include:
- Susato Mikotoba – Naruhodo’s assistant who worries about him being all alone in a foreign country.
- Iris Watson – Holmes’ assistant and roommate who wrote the “Sherlock Holmes’ Adventures” novel. Even though she is only 10, she has a high IQ and a PhD in medical science.
