We could soon see the end of NES Classic Mini being produced and shipped to local retailers. While it’s not stated officially, an Australian publication known as Vooks has stated that Nintendo will no longer send out any additional units of their NES miniature console to Australia.
It’s not stated just why the market is no longer receiving any units, but for those who may not have already received an NES Classic Mini yet then they may want to check their local retailers sooner than later.
According to Vooks, they have spoken to various sources that were able to confirm that stores within Australia will no longer receive any shipments of the NES Classic Mini and have been advised to not take any further pre-orders of the console.
We’re unsure as for if other markets will soon receive the same treatment or if there could be a new NES Classic Mini coming down the line in the near future. Likewise, could this mean that we may see the next classic miniature console from Nintendo receive the same treatment?
With the success of the NES Classic Mini, it wouldn’t come to much of a shock to see Nintendo launch another miniature version of a console such as the Super Nintendo Entertainment System of the Nintendo 64.
One thing is for sure, we’re hoping that Nintendo opts to release more units in a shipment than before as finding a console to purchase within local retailers has been incredibly difficult. Because of this, several gamers were faced with paying a premium price for a unit sold by resellers.
