It's the weekend before Halloween, and one can celebrate the occasion in many different ways, like watching scary movies. But there's also playing scary games; anything with zombies is an excellent choice.
Unfortunately, the most recent high profile release to contain the undead, Resident Evil 6, is a bona fide turkey. You also have the recently set loose Walking Dead games, which is fine if you have the money. But what if you don’t, thanks to your Gundam/Gangnam Style crossover costume going over budget? Which is what I’m currently dealing with.
How about an old stand-bye instead, like being Left 4 Dead? What, don't have the money for that either. No worries, you won't need it, at least this weekend. As of right now, you can play the game for totally free via Steam, according to the Left 4 Dead blog.
This is a great way for new players to see what they've been missing, and for veterans to give it another shot, plus help those newbies get their footing. Again, the entire game is free to play, up until this upcoming Monday morning, 10AM PDT.
