Diego Maradona is suing Konami after finding out that the devs have used his likeness in their last PES title without his permission. He took to his official Facebook page to voice his discontent stating: “I heard yesterday that the Japanese company Konami uses my image for its game PES 2017. Unfortunately, my lawyer Matias Morla will initiate the corresponding legal actions. I hope this is not another scam…”
Konami’s response could either be to tackle Diego head on or to just remove his likeness from the game, either way, it’s still not a good look for Konami to use something that remotely looks like a ‘celebrity’ *cough* football player. We should hear something from the massive gaming company in the next couple of days.
