Another day, another trailer for Assassin's Creed 3. But this one is decidedly different. Because this one is also interactive.
The Assassin's Creed 3 Interactive Trailer is possible thanks to the magic of YouTube annotations. The set-up is explained in the following, which is not the game, but something else. Yes, it's a trailer, a non-interactive one, for yet another trailer, the one we're talking. Will wonders ever cease?
History tells us (or at the very least, his Wikipedia entry) that John Pitcairn fell due to a rifle shot delivered by a former slave, Peter Salem. But Ubisoft has its own theories, which you can see (and play) for yourself here.
The entire scenario appears to be lifted from the actual game, but played by someone else and filmed after the fact. So instead of controlling Connor Kenway/Ratonhnhaké:ton directly, you're just choosing where he goes and what he does next, to cue the next piece of footage.
Again, it's a trailer, first and foremost. But there are many options to choose from, and does offer a great taste of things to come.
