Last week a promo ad for Destiny 2 leaked via an Italian retailer. Today, Bungie has confirmed the game’s existence by simply tweeting out a logo of the game and its title – Destiny 2.

However, after announcing and releasing the first image for the game’s sequel, Bungie managed to stay quiet on the game, giving fans no details on the game.
The release for the highly anticipated title is apparently scheduled to release on September 8. But as Kotaku mentions, this might be a European release date as the release date falls on a Friday and normally US games release on Tuesdays.
In addition to the release date, we saw that Bungie will be holding a beta for the title as well. When that beta takes place is still unknown, however, at least we now know a beta is in the works.
