Sony has just announced the beta date for its mascot fighter, PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale. While PlayStation Plus members will get an early crack at it tomorrow (October 16), non-PS+ members will be able to access it too on October 23.
If you didn't know, PS All-Stars will also be available for the PS Vita and will support cross-play. As a special treat for PS Vita owners, the beta will be available for the platform regardless if you're a PS+ member or not.
Sony has released a beta announcement trailer below.
Here's what players can expect in the beta:
-
You’ll be able to play as Kratos, Sweet Tooth, Colonel Radec, Sly Cooper, PaRappa, and Fat Princess.
-
You’ll be able to play in both the Metropolis and Hades stages.
-
You’ll be able to try out four-player online tournaments and 2 v 2 online tournaments. For the 2 v 2 games we’ll be supporting friend invites, so you and a friend can fight another team online.
Additionally, if you pre-order the game, you'll also receive a set of exclusive costumes in the game and they're pictured below.
The costumes will be unlocked with your pre-order at participating retailers and will work on both the PS3 and PS Vita version of PS All-Stars.
PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale's beta for both PS+ and vanilla PSN members will last until October 30, while the game itself will launch on November 20 for the PS3.
