13. Metroid Prime

Garnering numerous Game of the Year awards, Metroid Prime was an enormous success for Nintendo. The first 3D iteration of the Metroid franchise, Prime gave us the most pleasing mix of shooter, puzzle, and platforming elements more so than any game released prior to that time.
