Splatoon
Developer: Nintendo EAD
Publisher: Nintendo
Platforms: Wii U, Nintendo Switch
Release Date: TBA 2017 (Nintendo Switch)
This might be a bit of a stretch for this list, but Splatoon was one of our favorite Nintendo Wii U games to have released. With the Nintendo Switch releasing in 2017 and the game being heavily featured within the console reveal trailer, it’s likely that the Nintendo Switch will receive either a port of Splatoon or a completely new entry.
With the game heavily focused on team gameplay, we can’t wait to flood the city landscapes with our team colors once again. Splatoon was a great party game for all ages and we’re curious to see just how the gameplay mechanics will handle when and if the video game releases on the Nintendo Switch.
Spider-Man
Developer: Insomniac Games|
Publisher: Sony Interactive Entertainment
Platforms: PS4
Release Date: TBA 2017
Normally when we look at video games based on movies, television shows, or even comic books, they are often not worth picking up. However, with Insomniac Games developing the upcoming project, we’re certainly interested.
Insomniac Games has been developing a new Spider-Man title that will be set in an open world New York City. Players will be taking on the role of Spider-Man with his abilities to web sling, wall crawl, and heightened alert during combat.
While there’s little news as to what the video game will be based around in terms of story, it’s expected that we’ll see this Spider-Man project release at some point next year, 2017.
Gran Turismo Sport

While gamers can race both online and offline with Gran Turismo Sport just like the previous installments of the franchise, it’s been confirmed that the upcoming title will lack dynamic weather and a day-night cycle.
One of the key aspects that gathered attention around Gran Turismo Sport was the ability to use the PlayStation VR headset. While at first the game was announced to be fully compatible with the VR headset, the development team has later alerted to fans that VR support will be limited to a special VR Tour mode.
Wreckfest
Developer: Bugbear Entertainment
Publisher: Bugbear Entertainment
Platforms: PC, PS4, XB1
Release Date: TBA 2017
Wreckfest was previously known online as Next Car Game and later Next Car Game: Wreckfest. This is an upcoming demolition derby-style racing game by the same creators who brought out the FlatOut series.
There are two main game modes to Wreckfest, one being a more traditional style racing experience while the other offers gamers a chance to survive a demolition derby. Developers offer soft-body damage modeling within their game engine which will allow a vehicle to drive realistically after being damaged.
The development process for Wreckfest hasn’t been the smoothest either as Bugbear Entertainment couldn’t find enough publisher support for the game. This led the development team to seek funding through Kickstarter which also failed, but after sending out a playable technology sneak peek of their video game, hype grew for Wreckfest and allowed developers to continue the project from the amount of video game pre-orders.
Just Dance 2017
Developer: Ubisoft
Publisher: Ubisoft

Just Dance 2017 will play out very similar to the previous installments of the franchise. Players will essentially use cameras or motion controllers to mimic the movement dance routine with the on-screen dancer and music selection. Depending on the accuracy of players mimicking the dance routine will determine their scoring and if they are able to progress through the game.
Just Dance Unlimited will also be making a return to Just Dance 2017. This is a subscription-based service where players will have access to a streaming library of songs from the previous Just Dance games along with new songs exclusive only to the subscription service.
