What Made Skyrim Great?

July 22, 2016 by Tom Johnson

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is already considered a classic. But why? Well, we’re here to tell you.

There are very few games that have garnered the level of love and acclaim The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim has in the nearly half-decade since it’s release back in November of 2011.

From the walled cityscape of Solitude to the lakeside port of Riften, countless players have spent hours upon hours exploring, fighting, stealing, and questing in the world of Skyrim. With no shortage of quests to complete, people to talk to, and areas to explore and plunder, it really is a game that still goes unrivaled to this day.

Sure, it’s not the first game to take such ideas and run with them, but it’s widely regarded of being the best of it’s kind, so without any further ado, Gameranx is proud to present the first in a new series of animated video features wherein we take a look at what made Skyrim so great.
