#7 Arisen Force: Vonimir
If you’re familiar with the stylings of recent Square Enix RPGs, you’ll feel right at home with Arisen Force: Vonimir. The game takes a similar style with its pixel art, while also upping the ante with the game’s exploration, combat etc.
You’ll travel the world and create the story you want. That might mean you go and battle everything in sight, or you might desire to create a business where you can make serious money. Perhaps you want to adventure across this land to see what secrets it holds.
With unique characters, an active battle system, and plenty of options before you, you’ll create the legend that you desire.

#5 Demonschool
We’re not going to lie; a place that features students fighting demons isn’t a place we’re really up for going to. Yet, in Demonschool, that’s exactly what’s happening. You are Faye, and you find yourself within a mysterious university where all sorts of weird things are going down. The classmates you meet are your partners in taking these demons down, and you’ll have to learn how to move carefully to defeat them.
While you work your way through the university, you’ll have to plan your schedule so you can gain new skills, build relationships, and get stronger. You’ll need every advantage to take on the monsters coming your way.
#4 Legends of Astravia
It says a lot that many RPGs coming out in 2025 have an affinity for what came before. Legends of Astravia actually describes itself as a “retro RPG,” and you can get that feeling with the graphics and all that is within it. You are Oliver, a man whose past is a mystery, and so he ventures forth to find others who might be able to help him learn the truth about himself.
However, his isn’t the only quest going on, as a dangerous trio of villains are attempting to awaken a dark entity and bring ruin to the world once more. Fight for the truth and the planet in this fun RPG!
#3 Tales of Graces f Remastered

A single promise binds them all together, and they will do all that they can to fulfill that promise and see that things are restored to how they should be.
Aside from the gripping story and powerful combat mechanics, the game has improved graphics and multiple quality-of-life features to help new players or those who weren’t able to beat it before.
Your adventure awaits!
#2 Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
While it may be true that every year of life is marked with death, in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, the death of many more comes with each year that passes. There is a “Paintress” who paints a number on a tree, and all who are that age die on the spot, and that number counts down every year. With the population and hope to die with each rotation, a bold group aims to kill the Paintress before another number can be put on her cursed tree.
You’ll travel through the land, gain allies, and find out the truth behind past attempts to stop her. Everything is riding on your party; don’t let the world down.
