When you start playing Advance Wars 1+2 Re-Boot Camp, you will notice that a number of the main menu options are greyed out until you start the campaign. One of these is the returning War Room mode from previous Advance Wars games. However, like we said, you won’t be able to jump into this mode right away.
Don’t worry, though. You won’t have to play very much of the campaign to be able to jump into the War Room. If you are an Advance Wars veteran looking to test your might against the new AI, then you will have to at least get through the very start of the game first.
How to Unlock the War Room in Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp
It won’t take long until you unlock the War Room from the main menu in Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp. All you need to do is complete the first mission (after the optional tutorial) on either difficulty. After it finishes, you will receive word from Nell that the War Room is now unlocked and accessible from the main menu.
Now, you can go try out standalone battles against the AI in this side mode. You won’t be able to buy more maps for the War Room just yet. That will have to wait until you unlock Hachi’s Shop, which is just around the corner.
