Destiny 2 Lightfall has brought up a whole new planet to explore in the form of Neomuna, and it is one of the trickiest locations to navigate as of writing. Neomuna is a brutal locale filled to the brim with high-level enemies, difficult quests, and unique events that truly put your skills (and Gear) to the test.
Throw in the new Strand subclass and element, and things get even whackier. Strand has shown itself to be a very powerful tool in every Class’s arsenal, but the number of weapons that have access to its powerful effects is fairly limited. They are mostly locked behind the new Terminal Overload mission. One such weapon is the much-sought-after, Circular Logic.

What Is Circular Logic?
Circular Logic is one of the only Strand Heavy Weapons in Destiny 2 as of right now, and it is also one of the more grind-heavy weapons to get your hands on. It’s a brutally effective Machine Gun that can turn a decent Strand build into one that can do serious work on the battlefield.
As standard, this thing comes with, as is to be expected, the Strand damage type, Nanotech Tracer Rockets, and Adaptive Frame as its Origin Bonus. These two things are very nice, and what’s even better is that its pool of perks contains some truly excellent choices that can turn this already-amazing weapon into a monster. More on that in a bit.
Circular Logic has the following stats:
- Impact – 41
- Range – 40
- Stability – 33
- Handling – 58
- Reload Speed – 51
- Reload Time – 5.04s
- Magazine – 53
How To Obtain Circular Logic
Circular Logic, as far as we are aware, can only drop from locked Terminal Overload Chests. This alone makes it very difficult to obtain this event can be quite a slog to get through, and keys are hard – if not impossible – to get a hold of. What’s more, Circular Logic will only drop if the Terminal Overload Event is taking place in Zephyr Concourse. Locations rotate daily.
With all of that in mind, it could take days for you to get a hold of Circular Logic, and even when you finally get the chance to grab one, the Perks could be underwhelming. The number of steps – and the grind involved – make getting a “God Roll” very time-consuming – which is to be expected.
Check out our ‘Terminal Overload Keys’ Guide for more information on how to obtain these incredibly elusive items.
Best Perks For Circular Logic
If you do get your hands on this rather magnificent weapon, you are going to want to keep an eye out for some key perks. The ones we would look out for are:
- Arrowhead Break – This reduces Recoil drastically, which is always a good thing on a Machine Gun that kicks like a mule.
- Extended Magazine – Whilst Circular Logic already has an impressive Magazine stat, increasing that further is always nice. This does increase the time it takes to reload the gun, however.
- Demolitionist – If the reload time is hurting you, worry not, because Demolitionist fixes that right up. Using your Grenade instantly reloads Circular Logic, increasing your DPS drastically. Not only that, but kills with Circular Logic charge your Grenade faster – win-win.
- Hatchling – The star of the show. Hatchling spawns Strand Threadlings on Precision kill. Threadlings seek out nearby enemies and deal damage. This massively increases the damage and AOE potential of Circular Logic. It can also be combined with the Artefact bonus, Allied Unravelling, for even more Threadlings.
Overall, Circular Logic is an excellent gun that has the potential to be a staple. Good luck out there, Guardians.
