The Witness is Jonathan Blow’s latest masterpiece, which he began working on shortly after Braid came out some years back. It’s seen a lot of iterations and changes over the years, and now that it’s finally out, everyone who’s played it agrees that it’s one of the best puzzle games in recent years.
With really interesting and well-designed puzzles, an intriguing island for which to explore, and a style that’s so obviously Jonathan Blow, The Witness is a marvel to behold. Unfortunately, it’s also a little bit on the really difficult side of the spectrum if you’re unused to puzzle solving. To that end, YouTuber Noire Blue has put together a voiceless walkthrough so you can explore the game’s island by living vicariously through them, or simply watch them solve the puzzles in case you’re stumped and need a little assistance.
