Final Fantasy 14 version 6.2 was released with one of the most long-awaited features since Endwalker, the Island Sanctuary. This is especially exciting since it gives players the ability to have a homestead of their own. Here they can do things such as let minions roam, craft indepentatly of their class, and even do a bit of decorating. Once they have everything set up, friends can even come over for a visit.

What is Unlocked When You Get Your Island Sanctuary?

There are several different things you can do in the island sanctuary. Here is a list of the features you can look forward to once you unlock your own.

  • Gather and Craft.
  • Raise Your Sanctuary Rank.
  • Gain Sanctuary Currency.
  • Grow Crops.
  • Ranch Animals.
  • Allow Minions to Wander Freely.

Keep in mind that currently, only 40 different minions can be set free to roam around your Island Sanctuary. In addition, you don’t need to worry about leveling a crafting class, as the Island Sanctuary crafting system works independently of the main games crafter classes.

What Are Facilities in Final Fantasy 14?

The facilities in Final Fantasy 14 allow you to unlock different abilities in your Island Sanctuary. For example, having The Granary allows you to send mammets to gather materials for you. Likewise, The Workshop gives you the ability to use Mammets to make items for you.

By placing different facilities, you also gain the ability to do things such as trade with merchants. While this doesn’t replace the housing system or apartments, it does offer a unique and addicting features into the Final Fantasy 14 world for you to explore.
