Recently, Activision and Infinity Ward confirmed that the next entry in the Call of Duty franchise will be Modern Warfare 2. It is hardly surprising that we are getting a sequel due to the popularity of Modern Warfare 2019. Also, it has been confirmed that Call of Duty: Warzone 2 is in development. Apart from that, we have not been given any specific details on where the game will take fans next. With that being said, we are just moments away from seeing the Modern Warfare 2 worldwide reveal, and here is how you can watch it.
Thanks to various leaks, we are not short on details of what Modern Warfare 2 could look like. In recent months, a DMZ mode has been leaked and skill-based matchmaking is reportedly here to stay. Similarly, leaks are pointing towards Warzone 2 having a second map. Hopefully, our first look at the upcoming title will put some of the rumors to rest.
How to watch the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 reveal
The Modern Warfare 2 reveal will be streamed live over on the Call of Duty Youtube channel. The stream is set to go live on June 8 at 10am PT/ 1pm ET/ 6pm BST. You can request a notification to be reminded when the reveal is starting, or watch the minutes count down on the timer if you can’t contain your excitement.
Meanwhile, you can take a look at a live-action trailer that was released on June 3. Here, we get a close-up of Task Force 141, ready for battle. Although it does not give us any early glimpses at some gameplay, it hints that the game will be action-packed and have a gritty feel to it which Call of Duty fans know and love.
