Here are ten essential tips for getting back into Destiny with the release of The Taken King.

9. Pledge to a Faction

In Destiny prior to the 2.0 update, players could simply equip Faction gear to earn reputation with their associated Faction. This is no longer the case.

You can now pledge your allegiance to a Faction, and you'll want to do that before you do anything else, especially in the Crucible. Once you pledge, you'll earn both Faction and Crucible/Vanguard reputation at the same time.
