Since the days of Civilization, Dune 2 and the original Warcraft, many gamers have called the platform their favorite and with good reason, the PC has been home to strategy games for just about the longest time.
These days, it's largely the same—the PC happens to be the only platform where strategy games are released and even thrive. Though console systems do see the release of strategy games from time to time, the PC is where most strategy games are.
That said, this list won't be biased against any strategy titles releasing on console platforms, but it is heavily weighted in favor of PC titles, because that's just where the games in the genre are.
