There are plenty of factions to join up with in ELEX 2, giving the player plenty of options on who they want to align with and what sort of questlines they want to follow. The Albs are a faction that players who value logic over emotion might want to get in league with as the group thinks with clarity detached from emotion thanks to the Elex they consume.
Unfortunately, they aren’t a huge fan of Jax when ELEX 2 begins due to some of the things he did in the first game. While the Albs give Jax something of a cold shoulder when he first makes his way to them in ELEX 2, they’re certainly able to be swayed into letting him join their ranks.

How to Join the Albs
Despite their distaste for how Jax handled things in the original ELEX, the Albs are pretty willing to invite him in as a member if the player talks to the right people. First, make your way to the Alb complex in the northern mountains. Head north of Bastion for a while, staying on the roads and marked paths as often as possible to avoid running into high-level enemies. You’ll eventually run into some abandoned buildings as things start getting colder and snowy but you’ll be able to see a large complex in the distance to the north nearly built into the mountains.
When approaching, Jax will be stopped by one of the Albs named Radyk. Radyk doesn’t like Jax, but will be convinced to show him around the Albs’ facility if the player can play nice and choose non-confrontational dialogue options. Follow him as he shows you around until he takes you to the room with Azok.
Azok will be similarly cold to Jax, but let him know that you’re interested in joining the Albs by saying “I want to join you,” when prompted. Despite the previous hostility, Azok will accept making you an official part of the Albs.
From there, go visit Irissa in the southernmost building in the complex and tell her that you’re officially working for the Albs and that Azok approved it. She’ll give you some more quests to start you off with the faction.
