After a new thrilling adventure game? 2022 is filled with some incredible video game releases this year. In this list, we’re going to highlight a few adventure games that we think you might want to check out this year. This is just a list of new games, so don’t pay too much attention to the ranking quite yet. We won’t know how well these games will rank until they are officially released into the marketplace. So this list might drastically change up by the time 2022 wraps up.
Disclaimer: The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2, Deliver Us Mars, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, Open Roads, Tchia, Little Devil Inside, Replaced was removed due to be delayed.
#20 Sonic Frontiers
Developer: Sonic Team |
Publisher: SEGA
Release Date: 2022 |
Platform: PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Switch
If we can ignore the fans of Sonic, who seem dedicated to making themselves and IP look as bad as possible, the game itself, Sonic Frontiers, is pretty solid. Sonic takes the first step toward true open world gameplay and while the game is littered with flaws, the direction the game is on is true. A less stubborn Sonic Team will hopefully listen to the feedback of players, will look at competitors in the space, and position the next game well to succeed.

If you don’t know, the Klonoa games came out in the 90s, and were 3D platformers that were set in a very unique world, where you played as the young Klonoa in order to save the world. Now, the first two games of the franchise have been bundled together to make the Klonoa Phantasy Reverie Series.
So if you haven’t been able to play these games before, or just want to enjoy them on a modern platform, you can get them right now!

Because not unlike a story such as Life of Pi, you are someone who is trapped on a raft in the middle of the ocean. And to survive, you must use what little you have to get more resources so you can make it to the next day.
That means going and collecting the trash you find in the ocean, and using the pieces you get to fish, expand your raft, and more.

You’ll start small and make a little place under the stars for you and yours to sleep at, but then, you’ll start building up your town, and get to do it YOUR WAY. The more you expand, the more you’ll be able to attract visitors and see if they want to stay in your lovely little hometown.
Use your resources well, farm to get more, and keep your citizens happy while also maintaining a unique place to stay. It’s up to you, so don’t mess up!

The only ‘clue’ you have at the start is a fugitive android who agrees to lead you through the fields and other spots of the locale in order to find the truth.
