Crash Bandicoot 4: All Crates & Hidden Gem Locations | 1-2: N. Sanity Peak 100% Guide

October 6, 2020 by Kevin Thielenhaus

Our crate-collecting Crash Bandicoot 4 adventure continues with N. Sanity Peak.

Our crate-collecting Crash Bandicoot 4 adventure continues with N. Sanity Peak. The second level of the game also introduces the first hidden Red Gem — and you’ll absolutely have to collect it if you want to 100% a different level in the near future. Some new crates get introduced this time around, and you’ll have to deal with disappearing platforms and a very angry ghost.

This is the shortest island by far. Future maps usually have three main levels — you’ll alternate between three main levels and four levels with one boss waiting for you at the end. There’s no boss here, but soon we’ll be entering the screwed-up timeline and jumping into a post-apocalyptic future. That’s when the game starts to get challenging.

1-2: N. Sanity Peak | All Crates & Hidden Gems

To earn 100% on a level, you need to find 80% of all Wumpa Fruit, die no more than 3 times, find the Hidden Gem, and find all crates. These challenges can be completed in any order. If you die more than 3 times while finding all the crates, you can return and earn the last gem later. All gems you’ve unlocked in a level stay unlocked in future replays.

28/86: All 28 are very simple. They’re along the main path. Just make sure to set off any TNT crates you encounter. This set of crates is all the way up to the bonus room.

40/86: 12 crates are found in the bonus room. To complete it, use the slide-jump to get over the metal crate wall, then bounce off the crate above the TNT crate to reach the upper ledge before it explodes.

44/86: There are 4 crates on the path leading to the room with 9 platforms.

50/86: There are 6 crates in the 3×3 platform room. Carefully time your jumps when they phase into reality to get them all.

Start on the lower-left platform to get the Red Gem, and travel counter-clockwise.

Red Gem: The red gem is in the 3×3 platform room. Start from the lower-left corner and jump right, right, up, up, left, left, down, and right to make the red gem spawn.

58/86: After collecting your first mask, you’ll have to run from a giant ghost. There are 8 crates along this path, ending with the checkpoint crate.

Hidden Gem: The Hidden Gem is to the left after the first crate. Die and restart if you miss it!

69/86: Another 11 crates are along the second ghost chase sequence.

86/86: The last crates are found in the find ghost chase. Make sure you’re quick enough so you have time to break the large collection of crates at the very end of the chase.
