#2 The Outer World’s – Peril of Gorgon
The Outer Worlds may have released in 2019 but it doesn’t mean we are done with the game yet. Obsidian Entertainment does some excellent work with their big narrative-focused RPGs and with The Outer Worlds, we got another incredible title from the studio, similar to their work on the Fallout franchise, Fallout New Vegas. This space epic drama put players into a role where the fate of so many lives laid in your hands as you direct the narrative through the various choices you make. We are now moving on to the next chapter of the game which is titled Peril of Gorgon.
We don’t know a ton about this DLC quite yet at the time of writing this description. The DLC was just announced, however, from what was unveiled so far, players are tasked in taking their crew to an asteroid called Gorgon to investigate some mysterious drug. While the synopsis may be a bit of a mystery right now, we do know that this game will be filled with content such as new weapons, perks, characters, armor, and likely endings. Those that enjoy a good action RPG may want to mark their calendars for the first of two DLCs planned on this game with Peril of Gorgon slated for a release on September 9, 2020.
#1 Halo Infinite
Halo Infinite takes players back into the shoes of Master Chief. It’s game that many of us have been waiting on for a long time now since the launch of 2015’s Halo 5: Guardians. At any rate, those of you who are Halo fans will know that this game will take place a few years after the events of Halo 5: Guardians although much of the story prior to when this game takes place is a bit unknown. From the cinematic debut for the game during E3 2019, we see Master Chief gets rescued from his time in deep space.
Surviving with a system reboot thanks to a human survivor, Master Chief learns that the human race have essentially lost all hope of survival. That’s where Master Chief once again takes aim to bring the fight back to The Banished. Now we’ve seen the first look at the gameplay footage of Halo Infinite and its pretty clear that fans are not too thrilled at the state of the game right now. Still there is plenty of time for 343 Industries to really wow people so we’re keeping a close eye on this game.
Of course, outside of the visuals, the Halo gameplay looks very much the same. There is the alien Covenant, a slew of weapons along with vehicles, and a few nice change-ups like a grappling system. The biggest change seems to be the open-world aspect players will have although we’re uncertain just how open-world this game is. For example, we’re not sure if 343 Industries is making a traditional open-world game or bigger zone areas for players to complete missions. For now, the game is slated to hit the marketplace at launch with the Xbox Series X sometime this holiday season 2020. Outside of the Xbox Series X, players can pick up a copy of the game for the PC and Xbox One platforms as well.
