Chapter 16: Hillcrest
Trading Card #29: Wachumero – At the start of the chapter, you’ll have to cross a muddy trench. Jump into the mud where a truck is embedded and smash the driver-side window.
Artifact #55: Join WLF Note – In the back room of the laundromat in the neighborhood ahead.
Workbench #6: In the basement of the clothing shop in the first combat area.
Artifact #56: Boris’ Daughter Drawing – On a table in the same clothing store basement.
Journal #11: Climbing the overturned truck, you’ll enter an area with a large WLF banner, with yellow paint on it. Examine the banner.
Artifact #57: Yolanda’s Note: In the small shop to the left of the banner, there’s a note on the cashier counter.
Artifact #58: Need A Plan – Continue left from the banner, and climb up to the Paper Co. storefront. Smash the window to get inside and find this note.
Trading Card #30: Sahir The Sorcerer – In the back corner of the Paper Co. building where the previous artifact was located.
Workbench #7: Move the green dumpster so you can reach the garage rooftop and enter the next building. Through the hole, you’ll find a workbench.
Trading Card #31: Naledi The Youthful – In a dark corner to the right of the workbench.
Artifact #59: Condolence Note – Next to the trading card, there’s an office with this note on a desk.
Artifact #60: Tattoo Parlor Note – In the large street where you have to fight back lots of dogs, enter the ‘Velvet Tatto Parlor’ to find this note.
Artifact #61: Turn In Boris Note – Found in the market on the same large street. Smash the window and hop into the backroom. It’s on the sink to the right.
Artifact #62: Dale’s Combo – From the previous artifact, enter the bar and go to the backroom. There’s a note pinned to the wall.
Safe #6: 30-82-65 – Located in the back-alley behind the Tattoo Parlor, find a building marked ‘AUTO’ with a green dumpster blocking a door. Move the dumpster and the safe is right inside. You’ll find a new Short Gun Holster inside.
Upgade: Short Gun Holster – Go to the back-alley path and look for a building marked ‘AUTO’ with a chainlink fence and a green dumpster blocking the door. Move the dumpster, then use the safe code 30-82-65 to get the upgrade. It’s the building behind the Tattoo Parlor.
Training Manual: Precision – Enter the window of the Goldstar Liquor Store, then go down to the basement and find a cracked wall in the connecting room. Crawl through and take the stairs up. The manual is on the floor near the front desk.
Trading Card #32: Brainstorm – Once you reach the neighborhood with the fire in the distance, hop the fence and stop before entering the white house. There’s a yellow playhouse in the backyard with this card on the back window.
Artifact #63: Boris’s Confession – From the backyard, enter the house itself. The note is on the table.
Artifact #64: Rosemont’s Flyer – In the same house, find this on a shelf near the kitchen.
Weapon: Bow & Arrow Recipe – Can’t Miss. After squeezing through a doorway, an infected will attack. Kill it and check the body to gain the bow and arrows crafting recipe.
Trading Card #33: Reverb – On the neighborhood street that’s packed with dogs, enter the house in the back-right corner. Go upstairs and you’ll find this card under the bed in the bedroom.
Chapter 17: Finding Strings
Journal #12: At the start, walk right to the view and interact with the prompt.
Trading Card #34: The Austinger – On the way, you’ll explore to a dead end that used to be flooded. Joel will look for another way, but you’ll want to check out the car down below. There’s a card on the seat.
Artifact #65: Inside the hotel, Joel and Ellie will put on masks and climb through to an infected bedroom. Enter room ‘107’ to find this note on a dresser.
Chapter 18: The Seraphites
Trading Card #25: Randy Styles – After pushing through the military gate turnstyle, climb the wall right and enter the convenience store. There’s a card on a rack in the back-right corner.
Artifact #66: WLF Target List – Explore the microbrewery packed with infected (with the red awnings) on the street ahead. Clear out all the infected, and you’ll find this artifact on a corpse.
Journal #13: Enter the building opposite the restuarant and examine the Seraphite marker.
Trading Card #26: Shift – Climb up the office building elevator shaft and use a brick to smash the glass overhang. Then throw a rope to swing into the locked office — there’s a trading card inside!
Artifact #67: Last Letter To Husband – In the same optional office, along the same wall where you picked up the trading card.
Safe #7: 08-10-83 – When Ellie reaches ‘Route 5’ look for a building to the left with a truck parked outfront. Climb onto the truck to reach the high awnings and climb into the apartment window. The safe is located in the bedroom closet. There’s ammo and supplements inside.
Artifact #68: Evacuation Note – In the same apartment as the safe. Find the note on the dining room table.
Trading Card #27: Star Sign – Found in the bedroom with the safe. Just check the nightstand.
Workbench #8: Enter the second apartment from the safe, and you’ll find this workbench. Beware, some enemies will attack you!
Training Manual: Explosives – After interacting with the workbench, enemies will attack. Enter the previously sealed bedroom to find this manual on the bed.
Artifact #69: WLF Deserter Letter – In the same room as the manual.
Journal #14: After climbing up and spotting the hospital, Ellie will automatically make a note.
Trading Card #28: Arch-Enemy – Smashing the window, you’ll be able to drop down into the expo center ground floor. Use a brick to smash the glass of the locked office and crawl inside. There’s a card in one of the desk drawers.
Journal #15: Leaving the park and returning to the city street, you’ll find a dead body of a Seraphite. Examine it before entering the apartment building.
Trading Card #29: Doppelganger – Go up to the second floor of the apartment building to find this card in a dark corner.
Artifact #70: Dying Husband’s Plea – Climbing the fire escape, go up to an unfinished room. Smash open the window and climb inside. The note is on the floor.
Trading Card #30: Bhat M’andarr – Crossing the rooftops and taking a ladder down, drop into the water and take the stairs to the pharmacy. There’s a card on the shelf to the left of the entrance.
Artifact #71: Pharmacy Note – In ‘Weston’s Pharmacy’, search behind the cashier desk to find this note with the safe code.
Safe #8: 38-55-23 – Found in ‘Weston’s Pharmacy’ after going up the exterior steps. In the Pharmacy, crawl through the cracked wall on the left. The safe is full of ammo and supplements.
Workbench #9: In the backroom of Weston’s Pharmacy, where you’ll find the safe.
Artifact #72: Inside the hospital interior, Ellie will squeeze through a door and go upstairs to the dark halls. Enter the room across the stairwell to find this note behind a sofa.
